We were very lucky to recently be awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. Aimed at enabling our volunteers to support the charity. This funding will allow us to continue providing travel, training and support to all of our volunteers.
For more than 25 years volunteers have been the backbone of our organistion, giving up their time to ensure the fantastic quality food we recieve gets to more than 140 organisations across the region.

Our amazing team of volunteers do all of the leg work to get food picked, packed and delivered. Vital in providing surplus food to charities and community groups across the region. They drive hundreds of miles each week to collect food from the edges of our reigon and get it to where it needs to be.
They have lead the way in creating some innovative programmes at the organisation. From our incredible e-cargo bike fleet and being instrumental in enabling us to give back through community compost schemes.
Our volunteers not only deliver food but our chefs provide sustenace to around 30 people each day. Cooking up a fantastic hot lunch, which keeps our volunteers fuelled for the day. Utilising surplus food which we are unable to share with other charities.

Thanks to the generousity of funders like The National Lottery Commmunity Fund we can keep our volunteers happy, covering their transport costs, providing training and employability support.
