At FareShare Sussex & Surrey, we believe in the power of community. By fundraising together, you not only raise vital funds to keep our vans on the road and food flowing to local charities, but you also spread awareness of the challenges of hunger and food waste.
If you are organising a fundraiser for us, we would love to hear from you and support you. Every coffee morning, sponsored challenge, school bake sale, or workplace fundraiser helps us rescue surplus food and turn it into nutritious meals for people who need them most.
Fun Ways to Support Us
There are so many ways you and your community can fundraise. Whatever you are passionate about, you can transform into a way to raise funds for FareShare Sussex & Surrey.
For every £1 you raise, we can provide 4 meals.

- Organise a bake sale at work or school
- Host a potluck dinner
- Get sponsored to do Veganuary
- Ready Steady Cook! Do a timed team challenge to make a dish using minimal ingredients

- Cycle/Swim/Run/Walk a distance of your choice or join one of our challenge events
- Host a charity football or golf tournament
- Do a sponsored daily plunge in the sea during the winter
- Take on an adrenaline adventure like a bungee jump or sky dive

- Birthday or wedding fundraiser – ask if people will donate rather than buying gifts. Set up an easy fundraiser on Facebook
- Leave a gift in your will
- Celebrate your retirement by giving a gift from your pension

- Host a quiz! Gather some friends, family or colleagues
- Run a sweepstake, organise a prize and pay to play
- Spring clean – donate the money from selling your unwanted clothes, books, furniture, etc.
- Make some crafts and sell them for charity
