We are looking for 10k and marathon runners to join the FareShare Sussex & Surrey running team next year. By running the streets of Brighton and raising money for us, you can help turn miles into meals.

Thank you to the amazing runners and dancers who took on the Brighton Marathon and 10k for FareShare Sussex & Surrey in 2025. The sun was shining and our participants were brilliant, surpassing Personal Best running times, and raising nearly £7,000 in total! The impact of this is huge; with their support we are able to provide the equivalent of 27,680 meals to local charities and community projects across Sussex and Surrey.

3.6 million tonnes of good food is wasted by the UK food industry every year. At the same time, 12.7 million people, including 4 million children, are struggling to afford to eat.

FareShare Sussex & Surrey addresses these two issues by redistributing food industry surplus, which would otherwise be wasted, to the people that need it most.

We deliver food to charities and groups that provide wraparound services plus meals (like advice and guidance, health support, counselling and befriending) to help break the cycle of poverty. This year, we need your help more than ever before to help those most affected by the cost of living crisis.

If you have already purchased a place in a challenge event, whether that’s a marathon, cycle event or 100K Ultra, and would like to fundraise for us – please do get in touch! There is no minimum fundraising target but you will receive our guided support in helping you raise as much as possible.
