FareShare Sussex & Surrey is expanding and developing our Fundraising Team to ensure we are able to save more food from waste and redistribute it to those who are hungry.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive “people person” to make sure that every business we work with gets the best possible experience from supporting FareShare Sussex & Surrey, helping them understand the difference they can make in our local communities.

Previous fundraising experience is desirable, but someone with drive and passion is essential. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for someone looking to specialise in their fundraising skills or utilise their b2b sales experience by stepping into the charity sector and make a significant impact.

In this exciting new role, you will help create and deliver our corporate and partnerships fundraising strategy; monitoring and meeting financial targets; identifying gaps in the market, and seeking opportunities from both new and lapsed corporates. You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Bringing your sparkling personality you will make a strong contribution to our culture of togetherness, inclusivity, respect, and passion in our mission to see no good food going to waste in Sussex and Surrey.

We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace, so if you like the look of this role and even if your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with everything in the job description, we would still like to hear from you! You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

How to apply
We want to be open to everyone. A diverse voice is a more powerful voice. Diversity in our people brings new viewpoints and this drives debate and creativity, which is key to success and an ability to engage new audiences. As such, we encourage applications from people who belong to groups which are often marginalised in society.

Please send a single side covering letter, CV and equal opportunities form to: recruitment@faresharesussexandsurrey.org.uk before 5pm on Tuesday 7th May 2024.

Interviews will be conducted as suitable candidates apply ahead of the deadline. The role may therefore be filled ahead of the deadline.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact Clare Nice, Head of Development on 01273 671111. Further information about FareShare Sussex & Surrey can be found online at https://faresharesussexandsurrey.org.uk/
